i am lucky in that no matter what my feet remain oder free,and work boots on for 12 hours in 95F or higher is a real test,but they DO get hot and the only releive is to let them dogs bark and that means they need to be freed up

I am with you all the way on this one, I wear sandals all year round, I do not care if it is 10 below (in celsius) and the snow is deep, as long as I have my "Ecco" sandals on my feet I am a happy guy..

The absolute best way to walk is "in the nude" Barefooted that is.

It is a bit sad, hearing of feets being locked up their hole life, how gay is that ?

First of all thanks for the effort you put into the event as well as the post.

I am also an X-DAC v3 owner and have read with interest your modifications. The last I saw, you had put in the giant Elna caps in your supply and you were looking for some op-amp choices.

I was just curious which op-amps you had installed during the shootout.

I'm new here but i like most of the posts by Chong.
After all his work in this dac's shootout no wonder he's out of the forum when some of the guys here starting to talk about naked feet instead of a positive participation about Chong reviews....

I think its just a two way misunderstanding.

Chong, after putting a lot of time and effort into the shootout along with his colleagues, was geuinely excited to share his/their findings of an unscientific "just listen" comparison. This he made clear from the start.

Although criticisms were founded and other comments meant in jest, its clear he found this hurtful and unjustified. His efforts not being taken in the passionate vein that they were meant.

I hope that Zen will return again.

Chong is O.K.
He was already unhappy about strong reactions (including mine) to some of his other posts, and the negative comment from Allan in this thread was the catalyst to make him stop posting. All in all, Chongs contribution in this thread in particular,(and many others) was superb, and would have taken a lot of time and effort in preparation.
I hope Chong returns too.

i am interested in getting a cyrus dac-x. do you know if it shares the same dac as the one in the dac-xp?

X3 for Chong returning.... seems we are losing / have lost some really good guys here (Rick, Chong, DC) I hope they return soon
