Ok there in now the fun part starts distribution. what I need to know is for UK what are the implications re customs and import duty &etc Spain as above Aus I can just bung them in the post what is your preference open mail, registered 04/03/2009 INTNL TRANSACTION FEE $19.09 04/03/2009 DKC*DIGI KEY CORP 800-344-4539MN ##0309 411.11 US DOLLAR $647.11 so the net landed price is AUD $26.65 each basic air mail to UK Spain is AUD $2.05 and $0.95 for a "padded bag" what's the consensus on PayPal fees ??

To me that would be; AUD 2 x 26.65 LM4562HA 2 off 1 x 3.00 P&P Espana 1 x 2.26 Paypal @ 4% ------------------------------ tot 58.56 AUD (30 Euro r-up) + a "bob for Rob"
Customs = recommend marking pack as "sample", other than that any charge is my problem!

OK to install, here's what I did. remember looking down at the IC the little tab points to pin 8 with pin 1 being the next counter clockwise (to left) fortunately these are pin for pin with the 8pin DIP so carefully fan the leads pin 1 to 4 to one side and pins 5 to 8 the other. I then used a piece of strip board (vero or equivalent) and carefully formed the leads till the bottom of the case was about 5mm from the strip board and square (i.e. parallel to the strip board, we don't want it all wonky ) next I straightened the leads and used a second piece of strip board as a guide and trimmed the exposed leads to the same length, then carefully removed any burs with a needle file and final lead forming with the rolled 8 pin dip socket. keyboard is of course optional yes I know, it's still a work in progress ;D <edit> Robert

Robert Don't keep us all in suspense. How does it sound after cooking all night ? Re your work in progress : When you eventually replace the parallel input capacitors with one of the desired value, you will most likely notice a small reduction in sibilance. Alex P.S. That's how you embarass the average electronics engineer . You ask them to give a subjective report. ;D However, Robert isn't your average E.E.

Actually it's pretty damn good I was talking with Alex last night and what I observed is and damn hard to quantify mind you,... As you know I had been experimenting with various drugs um no I mean heat sinking AKA ole mr copper top (pat pending ), which certainly liberated some heat from the plastic DIP case. Also seemed to give it well more clarity in mid and top end no not like turning up the treble. Well LM4562HA just a little more clarity again, my comment was it's given my AD1000's the extra clarity that the k702's have and yes I did try the k702's I have gone back to the AD1000's I'm still exploring these it was like getting them new again. Look it's not earth shattering but is profound (for me at least) but if your familiar with the above head phones you'll get the picture. no there is nothing wrong with the k702's it's just a renascence with the AD1000's I'll get to some serious listening with the k702's soon Robert

Guys, dont forget that Traf showed us a way to get around paypal fees. rockgrotto.proboards39.com/index.cgi?board=06712&action=display&thread=3234I think most of us used this method to pay canjunkie for the JLH boards. UK import limit before duty is, I think, approx £17, but as Chris says, mark it as a sample, and if needs be, put the value as the postage. Also, to confirm (including the Bob for Rob rule) it's £15 to your account sir?

Ah just check because I think that might be the case for "local" as they say non border transactions but not necessarily international transactions. I am also ok with direct deposit, PM me for details if you wish to pursue that avenue. As for the 15pound (i don't have that key on my keyboard ) yes of course that will cover it Will. Cheers Robert

A quick heads up, if you pay by the method above, and it is 'cross-border', you do have to pay a fee, but you can do this at your own end, rather than Robert having to.

Hi All, please re-check my "how-to" guide just so were all clear on this. the other thing I have to add is oh dear I feel one of my turns coming on eh, I think I might be finding Zen-ness weird for me but Jeff mentioned it and I thought meh ok one day, then I thought hey why not give it a go, I need to remind you all that the 8pin dip version (LM4562) was out flanked by an OPA2604 well not any more hmm Zen what?? could be, I'm listening to a title called Africanism and Skipping seems to me to be an odd thing to do whilst listening to music... or at least not something I would have imagined you'd do... But whatever floats your boat
