Nowhere near bedded in yet but so far these are definitely the best 'phones I have ever heard.... absolutely gorgeous! Pretty much a K-501 with BASS and the soundstage is gigantic, I love them already!!!!!

Cheers Boz I got mine from Graham Smith..... superbly packaged, 100% genuine shrink wrapped factory sealed pair.... his ebay shop is: stores.ebay.co.uk/New-Born-Id and he has 8 pairs in stock and can get more.... £179 a pair. I can't fault the guy, absolute superb transaction. My pair are 27084 serial number and sounding fantastic! |

If they're like the K-501 they WILL take a good year to bed in so you may not be joking there MERTON.... fresh from the box they are leaps and bounds better than HD-600 IMO and, as such, deserve instant "I love you" status..... the yellow bear has a HUGE smile on his face |

But they do sound great if you give them about 2dB boost below 150HZ, and leave those inferior high voltage amplifiers out of it, and feed a proper Stax transformer through a good Class A SS amplifier. The trouble is, it is all so fiddly, particularly if you want to use the same amplifier with speakers too. I don't particularly like using Digital EQ either !

What are these like compared to the likes of the HD 600 or HD 650?
(Currently gone back to the HD 600 for listening)
