Received my cable today. Took me an hour to fit it, can't believe how well it went really. Big help that Stefan AudioArt tinned the ends of the cable though. Apparently it takes 96 hrs to burn in.
I gotta quote this because I know how much Mike believes in expensive cables & audio mumbo jumbo magic.

4 conductor cable comsisting of linear induced isolation constructed ultra pure copper enclosed in a specially treated Teflon/Oxygen dielectric. The Equinox cable is assembled with a special handcrafted process which has been refined over many years to meet the state of the art audiophile standard.
The cable connectors and connector shells are treated with a propriety contact enhancing soft plating break in solution. It is designed as the last stage of several prior electro-chemical treatments. Do not remove this soft plating as it is designed to last the life of the cable even when no longer visible the solution will set in the 96 hour break-in period.

I bought some K701 pads to try on my K501, despite mostly positive thoughts written elsewhere they don't really do it for me at the moment. They seem to introduce a colouring to the sound, there are some positives but overall I prefer the stock K501 pads. Will have to see how things develop with more prolonged listening.
