If you could only pick two U2 songs, which two would do it for you?
My two are ; So cruel (Achtung Baby) and When I Look At The World (All That You Can't Leave Behind)

Not a band I've ever got into Benny (probably cause I can't stand that "Bono" geezer) "where the streets have no name" is ok if you like that kind of thing

I'm with you Mike .... though they do have some pretty wikced song intros, I always lose interest as soon as Bono starts singing. - the initial clout of the intro soon subsides!
The other thing I found typical of U2 - normally it sounds great first time out of the box - catchy pop stuff I guess - but soon becomes boring and repetitive 2nd of 3rd listen. So not a first choice in a CD collection for me.

But I learned a long time ago if I only listen to bands with good/cool people in them, I'd have very few bands listen to. Everyone has there forte but many are losers in other ways. Bono went from being a wet behind the ears kid to a wet behind the ears adult! but as a band U2 is tops.(IMO). ;D

Yup, no depth with "repetitive" being a very good way to describe them.... not like you can listen to U2 and discover new things each time you listen.... very good live though and if stadium rock is your thing I can think of no better band to see (well, I can.....) but to sit down listening to them at home..... a very shallow experience to my ears ;D

A mouthy little shite too (like his taller Irish counterpart Bob "give us yer fookin money" Geldof) Nothing worse than mouthy street buskers with big heads.
