LCAudio has a product which is supposed to reduce transformer noise by filtering DC from the mains.

The spec they have allows for 2 transformers and includes a couple of tricky to find bits, however people having been DIYing similar for year with cheap bits/spares for years

Something like that might be wirth adding to the PSU you should build

more of a problem with toroids (can buzz like a freakin' hornets nest depending on what else is on the same mains run back to the breaker panel ) than conventional bobbin transformers but still never a bad idea to add a "fix" for things before they need it
