Jan of www.fragjanzuerst.dehad offered me tested caps that he sourced from older epuipment. Old (1970s?) Bosch MP 50uF PAPER IN OIL caps, 55x135mm... ;D Price is EUR 23.20 each. In use as coupling caps he thinks they are pretty much for a lifetime. Could be interesting to hear the difference between those and the raved about Black Gates. Also interesting are those, maybe for power supply? www.fragjanzuerst.de/dindex.htmscroll down into the 2nd third and klick on the caps picture whre it says HIGH GRADE FOLIENKONDENSATOREN There is english text in the table that opens up. BTW Kondensatoren=Capacitors Stefan

I have and do use the F&T caps depending on where I am sourcing parts or if they offer a size not available in another brand. If for instance I am buying an NOS tube and the only quality high voltage electrolytic carried is the F&T then that is what i go with not wanting to mkae another order elsewhere just for caps though more often than not i go with the JJ's for instance in a 50/50 500V dual section it is a tossup
