You surprise me Rick, surely you cannot be advocating the use of something that is clearly built in a thinly disguised Hammond enclosure.

AOS is cool with me and his designs the result of years of work not "whip it up anfd get it out" so I can overlook the bugly (Boring+Ugly=BUGLY ! ) Hammonds.....just like I do with Mike and his hammondstrosities (for the same reasons,he be cool ) .

As far as ready made cases go I think the Hammond range of extruded aluminium boxes is pretty good. They are not exciting to look at, but they are very sturdy. They're also non ferrous/magnetic and don't rattle or resonate. I don't know how detrimental the effect of ferrous/magnetic cases really is for electronics, but I've seen more than one manufacturer make claims for non magnetic enclosures. Of course, we all know that cases that go "bong" when you tap them and that rattle are not a good thing.
