There has been a LOT of spam posts here recently (world's longest dog, biggest cat on the planet, fastest snail on Earth etc.) they are coming out of Pakistan (IP logs clearly show this attack coming from Pakistan). All of them have the ident "Maria" in one form or another..... maria1467, 129Maria, Maria7W65s etc. etc.
Pain in the arse "banning" "deleting" "removing posts" every day so I have made the registration process to "join" the forum a lot harder. We won't be seeing any more "World's biggest hamburger" posts from Maria XYZ etc. (out of Pakistan) because I have now set things up to give me the "Yes / no" when approving / declining a new member.
The place has gone to the shitter (as is) with no input from actual members...... I'll be damned if it goes to the dogs at the hands of Pakistani spammers calling themselves "Maria".
Im onto these vermin.
Mike.

Hi Mike Seems a reasonable and sensible response. Not doing much building atm so not a lot to post. I’m cutting down overgrown trees and getting the logs in for the winter. Know any good chain saw forums or amputee chat rooms lol Martin

Hi Mike Seems a reasonable and sensible response. Not doing much building atm so not a lot to post. I’m cutting down overgrown trees and getting the logs in for the winter. Know any good chain saw forums or amputee chat rooms lol Martin Hi Martin, I'm spending my time avoiding the garden...... in fact, I'm going to let nature do its thing and see what happens. The thought of another 6 months mowing the grass (mainly moss now) and killing weeds / chopping down random hedges et all, being eaten alive by midges and "harvest flies" and being stung isn't something I want to get involved with! I was out a couple of weeks ago, thought I'd do a bit of strimming (as you do) and I heard this droning noise...... I thought it was somebody in the distance strimming..... turns out it was a wasps nest in a bush. These buggers up here are almost 2 inches long and go anywhere near their nest and your next stop is an ambulance with anaphylactic shock if you upset these striped bastard buzzing horrible flying stinging bastards. I've been up here 15 years now and the mower cut was always a number 2....... lovely patch of grass (half the size of a football pitch)....... I'm now on a number 7 and it's like walking on a sponge..... the moss has taken over. I'm not known for spending time "on the lawn" so why (I asked myself) do I need to spend the best part of 6 months, every year, mowing grass? I wouldn't shave my arse every day so why this strange "inbuilt" perception that I should be cutting grass every week or so to keep it neat and tidy? Bollocks to it, it is "literally" doing my box in, to the degree that I am suffering depression, It's not that I "can't" spend 4 hours a week mowing it down..... I don't want to. Don't get me started on Chainsaws mate..... I had a kickback a few years ago and "fortunately" I was sporting a good quality chainsaw helmet...... if I hadn't had the helmet on my head I would have been sliced for sure (dead as a dodo)....... Dangerous f**king things........ be sure to learn everything you can about maintaining your saw, (chain tension / chain sharpening etc.) and wear proper protective gear mate. Kickback can happen at any time...... Mike.
