Hi all, I have a Musical Fidelity A300 Integrated that I have owned for around 15 years, I bought it used and I have enjoyed it immensley since I have owned it. Other amps have come and gone but I always hang on to this one.
Lately there has been some popping noises when listening and I suspect that a cap or two may be on the way out. I don't want to let this one go bang so would like to change out the items that are known to fail before they do.
Although I am quite handy with a soldering iron - or I was many years ago when I was an apprentice - and have some knowledge of electrical diagrams etc. I would be very happy to find a list of items that recommended to be changed and what type of caps, resistors, etc. to change them for. Does anyone have or know where I can get this information from?
I have searched this forum and others but so far I have had no luck. I did notice a thread or two where people have carried out this work but those threads were over ten years ago so I didn't think resurrecting them would be of much use.
I would greatly appreciate any help that I can get.
John
