These are superb little headphone amps, this one is about 6 years old and hasnt had a great deal of use due to my contract working away. I have moved on to a John Wood amp now.I can email pics on request, the price is firm at £325. A new one is best part of a grand after importing from Canada. It has 4 imputs and an out for taping if you need that as I did at the time. These are highly regarded amps on HeadFi which is mainly Stateside. It is way better than any of my old M.F.X.Cans. s42.photobucket.com/user/malky1422/library/NAD%20HD%20Super%202?sort=3&page=1
Link above for pics on photo bucket, but as I am pretty useless with these things let me know if pics dont come up.
SOLD GOT THE PRICE BUT SENT POST FREE SO OK IN THE END.
I ummed and ahhed..
I want something grunty for my Audeze's. Maybe no special reason other than when I had speakers a big muscle amp made a difference-provided grip. Thinking Burson Coductor. Or I could buy more booze and cds. That's a tweak that never fails.
Which Audeze do you have?. I have LCD 3 which I am looking to sell as I have gone to Focals. Top amps are great with LCD 3 and the MAD was OK. I have a specially built H/P Amp by John Wood now. I mainly use headphones as I am in a small house, sold my big speakers and amps when I moved and invested in this system with the cash.I love it.
I've got a pre-fazor rosewood LCD-2 with a Forza Audio silver-copper hybrid cable and the Lohb strap. I hear mixed things about the difference between the LCD-2 and 3 (apart from the cost). Some will say the 3 is more refined and liquid-sounding; others that the 2 is more coherent. I do like the punchiness of the LCD-2 though the recessed (even muffled) treble is a negative. I certainly can't say it ever sounds shrill though
Incidentally, when you say the amp is better than MF X-cans, do you mean stock or modded MF?
The X can I had was modded, new caps and vaves the kit from Mike off here years ago, and later the power supply...little pinky I think it was called. The MAD is a great amp. If you look on the site he is always busy building them. Thing is I have a feeling Lloyd Peppard has passed on the work to someone else as he is getting on....I could be wrong, but the Super HD doesnt seem to be listed anymore, its a different one now.
