While I am waiting for Mike's Russian contact to sort through his stash of missile spares in his top secret Ural Hideaway and find me some ICBM guidance tubes, I have tripped across various adverts on Ebay for Valve Socket adapters / converters.
This intrigues me as it is my understanding that this will allow the installation of tubes with different / higher heater voltage requirements without rewiring the bases to suit. To me the upside is the potential to valve roll.
The downside is that this apparently simple action may in fact place undue stress on circuits not designed to take an increased load.
Any thoughts and advice please?
