Very sad but it was only a matter of time: www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-37797845I hope nobody turns up to see the Francis Rossi "unplugged / country and Western" acoustic quo........ Rossi (and Simon Porter) have managed to totally ruin Quo. Rick..... you did the right thing giving that acoustic Quo wankfest a wide berth..... bow out with your head held high....... you are a Rock legend........ Francis Rossi and his "strollers" will only be remembered for the cheese they produced, you will enter the Rock and Roll hall of fame Sir. I urge "any" Quo fan (who has paid for a ticket) to demand a refund and any Quo fan who has not bought a ticket to desist from buying one. Show that Rossi cock end character that he is a nob end. Get well soon Rickie! Mike.

That was a great watch. Hope he gets some mates together and keeps rocking. It's a pretty sad state of affairs Dale..... Rick had a major heart attack (he was dead for 7 minutes) and Francis Rossi / and management at NO POINT wished him all the best...... Look at the "news" section on the Quo's website: www.statusquo.co.uk/quonews.html#.WBz7bNKLSJADiabolical! So much for loyalty and friendship! I hope that every single Quo fan demands a refund leaving Francis Rossi in an empty arena alone: statusquo.boards.net/thread/5699/refund-deadline?page=1statusquo.boards.net/thread/6094/parfitt-return-quo-rocker?page=1Francis Rossi and Mike Porter....... you should both be thoroughly ashamed of yourselves...... this is REALLY going to come home to roost, just wait and see. I'll say no more apart from thanks for totally destroying one of the best live acts "ever" and turning it into the Francis Rossi sings Val Doonican show........ It's embarrassing to watch and painful to listen to..... leave the "acoustic" stuff to the professionals (like Beethoven) and concentrate on what you do best. Mike.

That's an example for every rock band. I only played 5 min since I'm on cellphone extortion charges, but really - amazing.

Nothing lasts forever Dale.... all things must pass but in an interview on Radio 2 today Richard Madely said to Francis Rossi "It's sad but everything has to finish at some point" Francis Rossi replied "apart from the Quo"...... I thought that was quite funny! Love them or hate them Status quo have stood the test of time and have broken more records than they have produced: www.statusquo.co.uk/factsheet.htm#.WB-aINKLSJA

You've got to admit that not many bands are prepared to dedicate their life to this type of "dedication":
"In their 48 year history, it is estimated that QUO have played over 6000 live shows to a total audience in excess of 25 million people. In doing so, the band has travelled some four million miles and spent 23 years away from home."

Rock-n-Roll has become very fragmented in the U.S., and there's not much on the air that has real guts to it. There is always subscription radio and streaming, but those audiences are also fragmented and compartmentalized. When "classic" rock reached its peak in the mid 1970's, the music was public and we shared it widely among friends. Today it's hard to find rock-n-roll fans, because they're nearly invisible.

Ive seen Quo 5 times over the years, the first time was 1972 when they were support band with the Slade tour. Quo had fairly recently got away from the PYE contract, they had the Dog album under their belts and had just released Pile Driver on Virtigo. They were begining to build a fairly big following as a rock band and mainly the Quo fans had specially turned up, and were not really there for Slade. Although the Slade bit was a good laugh, Dave Hill on his 8 inch heeled platform boots etc. Quo wasnt the best choice to tour with as a lot buggered off after Quo, and they werent interested in a Slade encore which wasnt forthcoming anyway. Jesus was Noddy Holder bloody loud ...Get Down Get With It. It was Manchester Free Trade Hall....and I had very long hair then.
