Thank GOD there's only a couple of mowings left this year..... bloody grass, it's a pain in the arse!
So much to be getting on with yet the damned stuff continues to grow and requires a DAY of my time to keep under control.
I really hope I'm out of here next year (I'm putting the house back on the market) and into a nice / easy to maintain / home with not a blade of grass in sight.
You would think, in 2016, that some boffin would have invented a chemical that prevents grass from growing......... cut it once, spray on the chemical and it won't require cutting throughout the season.
They claim they can do so much these days but they can actually do f**k all! Cancer is at an all time high and growing, they can't cure arthritis, they can't treat a common cold......... It's all bullshit!
What exactly can "they" do?...... very little for the masses but able to do a fair bit for the few as long as they have a wallet packed full of large green.
Alarm set for 7am........... I'll be out there will all three mowers and two strimmers in the morning and am going to scalp the arse out of the grass with ATTITUDE!!!!

I lived in the Los Angeles area for 26 years, and nothing grows there unless someone waters it. Most "lawns" are fake. The truly wealthy have astroturf, and the rest of us just scatter a few plants over the concrete or bricks. Then again, only the very well-to-do own a house in the L.A. area, so it's kind of a moot point. The reason the wealthy don't use real grass is because they could face arrest for watering it.

It grows at such a rate of knots in Scotland dale that you can actually WATCH it grow! You mow the bastard stuff and an hour later you can see it perking up all ready for another spout of growth! There's certainly no lack of f**kin' water in Scotland, it pisses it down.......... Maybe a 600 foot garden umbrella is the answer?

That's a weight off my back, got it done in 3 hours..... fekkin' grass I HATE the stuff! Took a good 30 to 40 PULLS to get that Mountfield "shite" £450 2 year old mower started..... chinese carburettors are shite....... but it has a 70 litre grass collector on it so saved me time firing up the tecumseh and Briggs and Stratton mowers (which have small decks) and whizzing over the grass with them. I am REALLY on the verge of going mental on that "lawn"..... it's an absolute pain in the arse and I NEVER drink pimms or eat cucumber sandwiches on it..... all I do is mow it and curse and swear as I mow the bastard. If I'm not out of here by next year I'm going to spray glyphosate (INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH at TRIPLE the recommended dosage) over the ENTIRE garden...... I'm sick and tired of it...... it's as pointless and time consuming as shaving your face every 24 hours. Time to go "wild man of Borneo"

If he makes it to 101 years old it doesn't matter a toss Dale...... if he dies at 20 or 120 it doesn't matter. when you're dead you are dead. No memories, just an inky black "nothingness"....... is "life" really worth enduring? It seems so pointless?

No memories, just an inky black "nothingness"....... is "life" really worth enduring? It seems so pointless? Easy to resolve. First, the purpose of life is to live. The meaning of life is in the life itself. But then we really become wise when we get past our silly egos and recognize that we are small compared to that which is greater than us. When we turn from ourselves toward that which is greater than us, to learn more and grow into the larger consciousness, we become much happier, more fulfilled. That might sound like some Buddhist schtick, but I'm a conservative Catholic. And I believe that spirituality for most people is no more than common-sense application of those principles.
