"Freak out! Le Freak, c'est Chic / Have you heard about the new dance craze? / Listen to us, I'm sure you'll be amazed / Big fun to be had by everyone!" Not Frank but a valid statement nonetheless........ I love, love Disco - the day the music died - that song mourned the day Disco died. Macho, macho man - I wanna be a macho man...

Well that's Zappa dismissed as crap with someone only needing one of his least representative albums. A shame to be missing out on so much well written and performed music, but most people, to quote Zappa, "wouldn't know good music if it came up and bit them on the ass". That was a compliment Chris!!! Zappa = crappa..... it was pure crap! It's like someone saying "It's bad" and actually meaning "it's the dog's nads"....... Zappa is pure crap, give me a high five nigga! safe style. It's sick bro'. erm.......... I haven't been on the "street" since 1984 so please excuse me if my "street" talk was misinterpreted........ your safe bro' / massive respeK / Never diss da Pink......... Coat and hat already on and doing a gentle jog out the door "y'all"

Totally off topic but how cool is this? I couldn't stop watching - that was purely mesmerizing - wow! It's a complex piece, and I could do about 90 seconds of the closing synth at one time, but not now. Anyway I'm in awe at this video.

I agree Dale...... it shows you his "part" in the whole scheme of things and the (apparantly) consumate ease at which he contributes to the whole....... that is some seriously good bass playing and certainly not easy when you are being tight with a band....... when you break it down to a singular component some may say "boring" but I found that to be extremely interesting. Mike.

The funniest thing Dale.......... Paul McCartney was voted number one bassist every single year through the sixties........ He couldn't play bass for toffee!! There's a famous quote somewhere where Entwhistle says something along the lines of "I'll never win a prize as long as that busker remains popular with deaf teenagers"

Did / DO you place bass man? Last time I played seriously was in the late '60s. Then, I joined up with full-time druggies and stole whatever I needed, and slept at the head shop. Eventually I got a job. I wish now that I'd done something else. 5 years in music and burnout would be better than 20 years behind a desk shuffling papers, even if the pension were half as much.

There's a famous quote somewhere where Entwhistle says something along the lines of "I'll never win a prize as long as that busker remains popular with deaf teenagers" Paul on bass, Ringo on drums -- a match made in heaven (or somewhere). Too bad about George Harrison - he really made some thought-provoking and poignant music. I wasn't as big a fan of John Lennon, and I don't think Lennon made music in the same lyrical way as Harrison or David Gilmour, to name a couple, but still Lennon had a huge influence here.

Actually, under the U.S. administration, we can be whatever we want to be. "She" is a midget dominatrix who once "worked" in the French Underground, if you know what I mean.

With a "red" neck toting a gun? We used to watch Hogan's Heroes on the telly, and in one scene where the German colonel objects to the American colonel sitting in on a German party, the German general says "Hey - on Saturday Night, everybody's German." So you see, everybody is German, umm, I mean redneck. Ever been to Liverpool, in the old days? Don't even ask about Cardiff.
