This is one of those rare times when the head was still but the body was in motion. It's not a DOF focus issue, since the bird was 150 ft distant and the aperture was f6.9. iPhone 6s-plus, Zeiss ExoLens, Cortex Camera App, daylight exposure. The heads are never still Dale I keep meaning to get a macro shot of my resident garden Pheasant "Henry MKll" but the little bugger is like a woodpecker whenever he's eating his seed! He sometimes comes into the kitchen, if I leave the door open, screeching at me to give him some seed.... he's quite a character and has a really interesting beak "extension" it's almost like a spike coming out of his head..... he has a standard "beak" but also this additional spike, I've never seen a pheasant with one before so must get some shots of him before he disappears like Henry MKl did. Nice pic Dale, what sort of insect is that the bird is about to eat? Mike.
