Little egret , the highlights was proving to be a challenge , lots of pics I see of white feathers online usually look overblown to me so I had a go adjusting the exposure compensation and using center weighted meter DSC_5897_openWith-Edit-Edit-2 by leon kirkbride, on Flickr

80-400G lens at 400mm, VR off, spot focus. Fired off 5 shots, this one was the best F7.1 1/1600 ISO800 Lightroom used to crop and raise the shadows a little

I've never actually tried bracketing for these type of shots but will give it a go, thanks for the idea. Last time I tried bracketing was when I was messing about with stacking multiple shots of an old church

One reason I like the look of the Nikon D500, it's suppose to have excellent AF even under poor light conditions, big buffer too which is ideal for my type of shots. Big downside is its bloody expensive, we was out somewhere the other weekend, it was annoying to see lots of people with top end gear and they had no idea how to use it here's me with an old second hand camera with frustrating AF but still getting a few fast moving objects. There was a bloke and his wife that had a D4s each with a 300mm f2.8 prime lenses, neither of them could hold them properly and was clearly struggling with the weight, they had no tripod either

Wherabouts on the rich bastard map is that joint? High low or middling? Muslim staff? Its Nottingham, tbh we didn't go inside , we was more interested in the walks and Deer on the land, we are going again tomorrow hoping to catch the Stags rutting . Absolutely no interest in these rich Bastards stately homes mate, I'd rather be outside in the mud and rain taking photos

That's a nice looking bridge Leo..... where is it and who built it? Mike. Chatsworth in Derbyshire, another oversized stately house. We was driving through the grounds to get to a farm shop and I spotted this bridge, I found it more interersting than the shitty house
