Personally I hate the entire iDevice/iTunes/Apple molarkey BUT the wife was given an iPhone 4 (prev. owner now on 6). The full, proper unlock and reset has been done. Phone calls ok, internet ok, apple ID set up and confirmed ok. The problem is we are unable to download any apps. "Unable to download app, please try again later" I have googled my arse off and tried loads of things; set date a year ahead, try again, reset date to auto try again restart reset network settings full reset sign out and in of iTunes/app centre now't worked and the hammer is looking a very attractive option right now Anybody know?

Been thinking about this for awhile. The only thing that comes to mind is, Apple has a limit of devices that can be authorized at one time (for Apple store, App store etc.), and either you're over the limit (possibly devices you no longer have that were not deregistered), or just haven't registered it.
Another possibility is something I've encountered a few times, where I would press a button and then some "action" that's pending is suddenly revealed on screen, and my button press is applied to the wrong thing. For example, the button that sometimes pops up that says "don't trust".

Thanks for the thoughts Dale but I have just, in the last half hour or so sussed it. Despite looking like everything was OK and the new iTunes/Apps reg. done properly for Spain, for some reason it was wanting to download via the UK (from whence the iPhone came and despite all other settings being correct to Spain), therefore, never getting the handshake to start the download. Went in and changed it manually and all is now well.
