Hello all - for some reason I was looking on the web to see if anyone remembered this piece of kit from the 70s. Then I found the thread on here from 6 years ago - unfortunately it gave out before PinkFloyd had related his experiences with it. I was a mere youth of 18 and I couldn't afford a proper amp and speakers, but I did have a Garrard SP25 with Goldring G800 cartridge, and a pair of Koss Pro4AAs. This Eagle amp (or pre-amp which is what it effectively was) seemd the ideal solution, and was advertised in the HiFi press at the time. Unfortunately nowhere seemed to stock it, so I travelled all the way to the importer's offices just off the North Circular road and picked it up. I was very happy with the sound, as I recall, but I'd imagine neither the amp or the phones would sound much cop these days compared to, say, the signal emerging from the DAC in any smartphone Vaughan

I've still got my one / in original box with instruction manual. I never did get to listen to it as I don't have a turntable but it certainly "looks" like it would have given an adequate performance...... I must get it off the shelf, strip it down and take some photos of the guts

Thinking back, it must have had a pretty 'warm' and clean sound as it was analogue end-to-end with no secondary stage amplification..
