These ZS40 landscapes were taken in a heavy overcast, and given the sensor size and distance from the camera to the major features, the details are a bit noisy. The first image conveys the general atmosphere that's been prevalent here for nearly every day in September. It's beyond unusual to have only 5-6 sunny or partly sunny days in September in the South end of South Carolina. The second image was taken facing the opposite direction an hour later, when a narrow band of blue sky was attempting to push back the cloud cover. Another narrow band of blue sky was developing on the opposite side of the sky at the same time, over the ships shown in the first image, but that doesn't show here since the first image was taken an hour earlier. Are those boats fishing for prawns or Muslims Dale? We watch the infiltrators creeping in, and then round 'em up and send 'em off to Miami. Who knows what happens then - Castro gets some free labor, I dunno. But really, you look around anywhere here and you see people in robes and turbans nearly every day. They tore down a big chunk of forest here in the suburb of Mount Pleasant and are putting in a big "apartment complex" - but it's one-bedroom and "studio" (no separate bedroom) units only. I can't imagine who is going to occupy those, but I think the word 'occupy' is going to be the relevant term. Up until at least the late 1980's the U.S. immigration policy was based on the historic mix of mostly British and European/Germanic people, but somewhere along the line they seem to have lost that policy. I don't understand who is selling us out - how can we have a war on terror when every one of Osama's cousins and grandkids are showing up here? People could argue that I'm narrow-minded, but I beg to differ in this respect: The very Constitution of the country is based squarely on the philosophy of Balances - whether taxation -vs- representation, congress -vs- the president, or immigration policy. But there's no balance - it's a sellout, and the crooks in power are banking their ill-gotten gains offshore. You can't have the concept of liberty, from Magna Carta down to present day, when you're importing people who don't give a damn about anything except handing us Allah at the end of a stick of dynamite. There, I said it. And it's all true unfortunately.

Dale I think that it's about time that your mob stopped blaming everything on the President that was elected by the U.S. people despite the party you favour being heavily supported financially by the big end of town. I can't believe just how dirty U.S. politics has become due to abuse of power and heavy financial backing from vested interests via their lobbyists. Almost ALL of your reps are multi millionaires, and have SFA in common with your average citizen. Anyway, "the sore losers club" will have the opportunity to kick Obama out at the next election and install a Puppet of Big Business as President. Not that Obama isn't a Puppet of well heeled interests, but not on such a grand scale. What makes you think this kind of problem is unique to the USA ? Many Western countries have done this without putting the changes to a vote via a Referendum. There is something far bigger at play here, and I still suspect something like a back door deal done to ensure world Oil supplies. It's highly suspicious to me that Multiculuralism has been forced on so many countries without their naturalised citizens having any say on the matter via the Ballot Box.

No argument from me, Alex. All true. Truth be known, I never liked that Lincoln SOB no matter how much Ken Burns and his kiss-arse ilk try to propagandize us with that tired old save-the-union hero crap. His war was about land and money, whatever long-term good it represented. Lincoln's burning of civilian homes full of women and children was the act of a cowardly scumbag, and I suspect a goodly part of Lincoln's motivation was due to blackmail. His era was not friendly to gay men, and Lincoln had a lot of skeletons in his closet, so to speak. There are huge lobby groups in the U.S. who specialize in blackmailing senators and congress rep's, and they're pretty much untouchable. People in the U.S. believe that the South lost the war. In 1865 when it mattered little, sure. But fast forward to the 1930's and TVA was Southern, the 1940's and Oak Ridge was Southern, the 1950's and 1960's and NASA was Southern, the 1980's and the IBM PC was Southern. The Big Three (Kennedy, Kennedy, and King) were all shot in the South in the 1960's and Johnson then rebuilt the military in the South. The whole Southern sensibility was a very different thing from the North, and it played very well in the invasions of dozens of nations around the world. The whole intrigue of cowboy politics as exemplified by Ronald Raygun, who sold our industry to Red China, is just entertainment for the masses who watch Fox News. They pretend to be conservative and pro-American, but with friends like them - who needs enemies?
