This redwing blackbird is my first bird photo with the Panasonic ZS40 in really good lighting (less than an hour before sunset), and although the dark black body color in contrasty lighting is very difficult to reproduce from a JPEG with a 1/2.3 camera sensor, the Panasonic ZS40 pulled it off fairly well I think. f6.4 (at max. zoom), 1/200 handheld, ISO 100.

Then after we finished that we got cans of Coke and poured whiskey into those and got really drunk. My photographs were really unique - cars flying every which way.

Hi Dale, A splendid photo! I think the contrast is excellent with plenty of detail in the bird's black plumage but with a nice punchy sky. I wish my TV could get those results ! (lol)

(lol) If you had my cable provider you'd just wish the picture weren't flickering or going out. There's only one provider in most places now, so we just pay the bill and pray it doesn't rain and short out the chicken wire they use at the main box.
