It is well known that Adobe 'allow' people to take advantage of free software. It may even have been flagged up in here so apologies if the words 'Granny', 'suck' and 'eggs' come to mind. The programs aren't the latest versions as I'm sure one would accept. But if you want to have a good and respected piece of audio software on your machine then you can have Audition 3.0 for nothing. I've used Audition 2.0 for years and found it very useful; you can take a look at hi-res files to see if they're genuine hi-res or not, you can mess with stero width, EQ or whatever. You can upsample and downsample to your heart's content, and you can record your LPs to dig but don't tell the thought police. The website is www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=cs2_downloadsYou will need to create an Adobe ID (just give an email address and create a password) after which 'sign in' then takes you to the CS2 download area. Click on the "I Agree to the terms and conditions" button and you'll be taken to a treasure trove of Adobe software. Photoshop? DTP? Web design? You've got it. All are for Windows with some available for MAC. e.g. Audition is Win only, Photoshop is MAC & Win. Again, sorry if you know this. Couldn't be bothered to search the forum to see if it's been done before. I know it's bad etiquette to ignore previous postings on a topic. But hey! I'm reckless, me. Derek

Hi Derek I may have posted that some time back. If I didn't post it, I passed the info along to most of those on my mailing list. Kind Regards Alex
