The attached was posted in another forum, and it will be obvious to most long term members, that it was a swipe at my reports in Rock Grotto, and HiFi Critic Forum. knowing full well that he can't be held to account in his own forum.
I would have preferred not to have to post this, but it seems that he just can't help himself, and let both forums co-exist peacefully.
That I was reluctant to do this, should have been evident in this recent thread.

Gibberish is what happens when you cobble together various reports from 3rd parties.
The quotes I gave were not edited. The 2 replies were above each other. It was a direct copy and paste. Seemples !
Were there, or were there not, several suggestions that an unwanted member should join RG ?
Who asked Jude to ban this member in HeadFi ?
R.G. is mischief making ?
If you are going to use the ASUS from a PC or laptop (powered via mains) you should consider buying an USB isolator.
Something like this for instance
www.olimex.com/Products/Modules/Interface/USB-ISO/
or:
www.circuitsathome.com/adum4160-usb-isolator-assembly-guide
It may or may not give sonic improvements but in any case will break the groundloop, at least when powered from a LINEAR power supply.
Other tricks like interupting the 5V line in a USB power cable and/or inserting a low value resistor in ground lines won't break the (possible) groundloop
Firstly, at 30 Euros it would have to be be the bargain of the century if it markedly improved USB audio with other than a cheap and nasty laptop..
It's funny though that it isn't normally mentioned in the much larger Computer Audiophile forum, where many industry figures are members, and where far more expensise devices such as the iF1 iUSB power supply and it's optional special USB cable are favoured.
Secondly, the next Isolator mentioned , says this in their blurb:
"Photo on the right shows the arrangement. In order to reduce interference to the minimum, isolator is powered from oscilloscope’s 5V regulated power supply.
Also, the peripheral cable is kept as short as possible. I recommend using similar arrangement for high-end audio applications – to obtain best results,
don’t use isolator’s own power supply, use power supply of the peripheral, a battery or super clean power source made for audio."
Isn't that what we are doing with the +5V JLH Power Supply ?
Sure, we stop the +5V from the JLH PSU from getting back to the PC via the USB cable's socket in the JLH PSU, but as MANY C.A. members have verified, it is best to use USB cables that well separate power and data lines
That's also why the SOtM internal USB power supply cards, with their sqeaky clean +5V USB power are so popular. They even provide the possibility of an even better external PSU or battery operation, despite already having a very well regulated +5V derived from the +12V supply.
The removal of the USB SMPS supply before it gets into the USB cable has nothing to do with an earth loop, as will be evident from the blurb in the Isolator mentioned above,
and the numerous threads about USB cables in C.A.
Inserting a 47 ohm resistor in the 0 volts line when external power is used, doesn't completely break the earth loop, but it does result in an audible improvement where the USB device needs to use the 0 volts line for it's operation, despite having it's own external power supply. USB memory sticks can work well without either the +5V or 0 volts wires connected, provided that a suitable value resistor is connected in their place at the PC end of the USB cable.
The principle is siilar to the "earth lift" resistors in Power Amplifiers which are typically around 10 ohms.
As most serious audiophiles,(as distinct from those who listen with their test instruments,) wherever possible have the PC on a different mains supply circuit to that of the Audio equipment,
it may be beneficial to break the screen connection at the incoming USB socket, and connect earth from the Linear PSU to the screen wire of the outgoing USB socket.
The methods that this EE has taken issue with , have already been verified to result in improvements by Martin Colloms, Barry Diament and many others, including fellow Admin Chris, who I have done extensive testing with in this area.
Does this person even normally use a DAC in conjunction with his PC , let alone a USB DAC or isolator ? I would hope that his fellow Admin sends him his new DSD capable gear to listen to when it is completed.

....In any case, who exactly designed the amp? Who does everyone THINK designed the amp? So why worry then? Loop or no loop. Also, it's not right to post out of context comments
and even put them together so the second comment looks like it was about the preceding comment. It wasn't about Apple Boy at all. More to do with Techboy!!!
So why on earth do you post unlinked comments like that? Not that you want to cause any trouble and how loathe you are to do it.

Surprised that such an experienced guy reads things in the wrong way and then posts it, saying that we cause trouble
