The MF100s have been around for a while now and are attracting good reviews? Anyone in here actually heard a pair? I have a birthday coming up...
Who's the manufacturer by the way?

The MF-100 is now in my Amazon cart awaiting the OK, and funding. Hopefully I will get an infusion of new cash with which I can buy this gadget.

I will look forward to your comments :-) I am planning to go to this year's Hi-Fi show in Bristol (UK) where MF are on the exhibitors' list. With luck they'll have the MF-100s on demo. I have not read any 'serious' reviews yet; they all seem to be by non-audiophile publications. I mean, how can one trust the Daily Telegraph newspaper or absolutegadget.com. However theproaudiowebblog.com people do say "sharp and detailed". By this do they mean hard, bright and tiring? Can't imagine MF marketing anything in that style. But I've never come across theproaudiowebblog before. What might THEY know? Derek

I did get to hear the MF-100s at Bristol, albeit very briefly. Bass was tight, extended and non-resonant. Maybe with a slight lift to give a little (musical) warmth. Top end end clear and smooth; detailed but not what one could label as 'bright'. Very fairly priced.. so I am considering a pair but need to work an extra day or three.

They look interesting. There was one of those "don't tell you much about the sound quality" reviews in one of the Sunday tabloids today. I haven't fed my headphone fetish for a few months so I might try and track down a pair of these.
Just to add to this, I see that they apparently take a bit of driving which for me might be a bit of a nuisance as I'd like to also use them with a portable without having an add on amp.
