Hi Jon To the rescue again I’m in need of a little refresher course myself. I’d urge anyone new to the circuit or a first time builder to have a read through these superb JLH Build Manuals as they are a wealth of useful information. Thanks for sorting this out Jon it’s much appreciated. Take care

Hi Jon Many people will wish to use them at +5V or +3.3V, in which case the 10K resistor should be replaced by a J506 FET (approx. 1.5mA) to ensure that adequate current is available for correction (modulation) purposes . The change to parallel 4,700uFs for use without a CL fitted needs to be covered too. Although these capacitors only have around 500mV across them, the higher ripple ratings of a 10V low ESR type will ensure longer life and reliability when used with SMPS . Kind regards Alex
