Could any of our resident computer wizards suggest any possibilities for the 'Settings' icon in the tray failing to work? If I tap more than the twice they suggest it even crashes Foobar! Everything else works great except this. I've tried their support and was told no-one else has reported this so they have no idea Syd

Hi Shaun
I'm glad I'm not alone, at least!
Strange though it works perfectly on my music PC, which is one good thing. I only discovered this when I tried to use the JKDAC32 on my desk PC out of curiosity, which meant a trip into settings.
It still works great with my old favourite AKMods V3 DAC, still takes some beating, except for lack of anything above 96.
Syd

Do you have foobar shell (windows7) intergration? this might be the confict... uninstall foobar shell intergration... or foobar controls maybe the problem...
If it is not those two, i dont know...

I think it goes a bit deeper than that Chris, even after several hours attention today from someone with a fair PC knowledge, no joy. I'm disappointed that the people who made jplay couldn't at least throw out a few ideas Its setup no different on my other two machines and they are working perfectly. Its faulty even using Mini. Thanks anyway, Syd

Hi Shaun
64 Bit on the 'faulty' PC and the laptop, 32 bit on the music PC. 5 onward caters for either as you know, I had two separate jplays for 4.
I don't have them linked, all independant.

I think you're right Shaun. Although its working with the 64 bit laptop, its temperamental. The one 32 Bit m/c is fine.
Yet they say no-one else has reported issues.

Hi Mick Sort of hoping Javier might appear Mind you, I think Shaun's on the right track with it being related to 64 bit, though jplay folk say no-one has reported this. I'm now fairly sure its not Foobar, as mini player acts up the same way Best, Syd

BIG thanks to Javier who heeded Shaun's request to send in the cavalry (thanks Shaun, saved me begging ) Javier waded in in two long sessions to sort out a mess that involved a little known piece of software (Tuneconvert) conflicting with jplay, which as far as I can tell has a few peculiarities of its own! All is very right with my musical world right now Syd

could not get jplay trial to install properly on my pc. after installer had finished, i restarted pc as per manual online. sat looking at "starting windows" screen for 20mins before giving up, resetting, running system restore and so on..... is it really worth the hassle?

Yes, oldson, well worth the hassle although I don't know what your hassle is from - I doubt it's Jplay? The latest version, in beta testing at the moment, is a another step up in sound quality.
