Pure fun, Chris. There's nothing like getting your model heli up in the sky. Some of the old codgers need to get some fun in their lives!!! I did a very kinky thing today...... I had a fly outside in the garden, with me in the house behind the closed patio doors. It was too cold. Dave gave me the idea. Armchair pilot. The ultimate in comfort. Fly your heli in your toasty front room while the heli flies outside!!! (Just the MCX2) I had another idea. Put a video camera and sender on the front and have it sent to a pair of video glasses, so you can see from the front of the heli up there. I wouldn't mind having a go at that!! Not long now, you'll be moving on!!

Actually rcgroups has a forum dedicated to remote piloting. www.rcgroups.com/video-piloting-fpv-rpv-469/Here's a taster video. Awesome stuff. vimeo.com/15134959Ian

Some spectacular views there. The plane looks pretty high, although it may be using a wide angle lens, I suspect so it looks a lot higher.
I could put something on the Sky Taxi. It's big enough to lift something small. Not sure how much it would shake though. I think helis are a bit more shaky than planes.
Just imagine ... video glasses which are relaying the picture back from the heli so you fly as though you're actually in it.
It's probably on the way soon and will appear in heli shops!!

I started on the Bladez and have a kind of soft spot for them. They fly nicely as well generally, although they can be variable. I had 6. Even took them outside when the sun wasn't out.
Took one to Guernsey and it crashed when the sun came out into a swimming pool and became a submarine. I dried it and it carried on working!! It was down 12 feet as well. I got it from the bottom.
I think they retailed at £29. I was given mine.
Mind you, I prefer the MCX2.
