Why is Bruce Willis speaking German? I'm more concerned about his "behaviour" than his sudden change from English to German speaking.... WHY is he smashing a model helicopter against a wall? Well, he's probably training for the next sequel of the the Horrible Bosses. Well, you see throwing the heli at them and using the undestructable heli chasing them until the horrible bosses jump out from a skyscraper. Hmm, will he be doing a smash up of any headphones as well? Alright guys, you do your own video on those HPs that he really hated ..............

Have you got it up in the sky yet, Mike?
I have a Bladez rc helicopter and just took it outside for a very high flight, over the house and trees and then did something so common with helis. I turned it to bring it back and of course, your left and rights become transposed.
A puff of wind blew it and I had a 'Danger Will Robinson' minute trying to get it back!!!
Luckily it came back home and I managed to land it and some people close by had seen the lights in the sky and wondered what the he'll it was so they followed it. (it was dusk) They applauded me for getting it down in one piece, but if I had been in it for real, I think I would have thrown up.
Stunt helicopter is a bit difficult.

Ian I'm flying her about like a pro now Ian.... total control of it..... the secret is to LEARN how to use the controls before letting it loose outdoors! The little blade is an indoor helicopter and Sam wants me to master that before buying an outdoor model.... there is a LOT to learn about these things and you can get really really addicted to them..... what did you get Ian?

It's just a Bladez Metal. Nothing special. Had it for quite a while. Actually, I don't know if you've heard of him, but Peter Jones who is a 'Dragon' in 'Dragons Den' has a large share of the company that makes these.
Straight forward up/down, forwards/backwards and left/right and you charge it from USB or USB plug or from the controller itself.
Funny little thing. I think it's an indoor too but has a good range for a little toy. Cheap to replace when you crash it. The expensive ones make me too nervous. I would like a space ship to spook people!!
The hard part is landing nicely.
Great fun!!!

According to the helicopter "guru" (Sam also mods them!) the only "serious" starting point is the E-Flite Blade MCX2.... easy to learn with and you can adjust the swashplates (when you master it) for a more "aggressive" flying experience. He strongly advised me to stay well clear of the ebay "toys" and to go for quality.... replacement parts are also a big thing and the better quality copters have available spares. It's a minefield Ian and if you are serious about it then join a club..... Sam's club starts in October, I can't wait

Remember.... whatever copter you buy always go with a "RTF".... this means ready to fly and comes with the transmitter...... BNF is assuming you already have your own transmitter so always look for "RTF"...... RTF is also a lot easier to sell on

Sigh.... you're probably right, Alex! Perhaps you fixed wing guys need lessons from someone like Mick ? Real ones are easier than these little buggers!! One cough in their direction and the go shooting off. I guess one cough is equivalent to a very sudden side blast and a deep inhale is like a massive air pocket!! I had yet another Danger Will Robinson moment - I was flying it happily in the back room - tiny bit of forward thrust - bugger me, it shot off through the open patio doors, over the swimming pool. I ran out and turned it, the power started to fade and I did a perfect landing. In the swimming pool. It sunk to the bottom of the 10 foot end so I got in and took it in, dead as a doornail. Then I went fishing with a small portable rod off a jetty. First cast Caught a big frigging bass. Yay, you may say. My rod doubled up the bass shot off to sea with my drag screaming. I fought tooth and nail with the bloody thing and actually got it in!!! Trouble was, by that time I had run with the rod attached to the bass back to land where I was heaving from the safety of a wall and it was so big, I couldn't lift it. I cried for help but no one lives there. The bass was knackered and did a final head shake and broke my line. I caught a load of garfish after that. When I got home, I hair dried the helicopter out of desperation and it kicked back into life!!! I've had this thing quite a long time so it's had quite a lot of abuse, but I've never flown it underwater!!! The bass was between 3 and 4 foot long. It scared the shite out of me and I thought perhaps I was lunch. Ian

Ian If your fishing on sand, i would suggest some nice fresh lugworm on 2/0 or 3/0 bass hooks with clear/flourocarbon hooklenths (use full worm), a snood of around 4 feet would do as bass are clever and if they get spooked they wont bite (or try and suck bait off the hook) Dont waste time on them carp/bass rods, use a 10ft beach caster if you have big bass like that near you Or better still Tie a hooklenth long enough to go to the bottom of the sea, and tie it to the bottom off the helicopter Then fly the helicopter out as far as it will go and lower the heli about a foot above the sea, then when you get a bite, strike and pull the bastard out and fly him back to shore paddy
