Ok, I can finally add something here without cheating! I'm NOT the chef I do, however dabble with puddings. We normally have ours made by a part time cook who just does the puds for us, while she's off I stepped in. Apple & Strawberry Crumble This recipe is only slightly tweaked from the following (not mine) Ingredients 200g plain flour 100g butter 100g sugar tbsp dark brown sugar 2 cooking apples a handleful of mixed fruit Cooking Instructions: First you need to peel, chop and core the apples. Rub together the flour and butter until they are at bread crumb consistency, then mix in the granulated sugar. Put the apples in a dish and sprinkle the mixed fruit and dark brown suger over them. Then sprinkle on the crumble mix and put in a 180 degrees centigrade oven for 30 mins so that it is golden brown Serve with custard or ice cream. The only changes I made were, replace the sugar with natural cane sugar, swap the mixed fruit for a large portion of strawberries, cook the fruit a little longer so that it still has form but is very soft. I used Birds instant custard but melted a little PROPER vanilla icecream (the stuff that has bits of real vanilla in it) into it. Served hot, of course.
