Sorry if this is a dumb question, but... My Logitech Transporter has both unbalanced RCA outputs, and balanced XLR outputs. The manual that comes with it suggests using the balanced outputs "if possible".
So, the obvious question is - can I hook up a tweaked SCHA in this way? If so: would that be a good idea, and what (if any) modifications would I need to do?

jphoward No you can't. IMHO,it isn't a good idea, and there no modifications you can readily do to the SCHA. Balanced feeds are more used professionally, where distances between equipment connected this way is appreciable, such as in recording studios, sound distribution etc. Graham Slee covered this subject some time back, also. Perhaps RobertKD would care to reply in further depth with this question from an engineer's perspective? Alex
