1985, Knebworth Fayre, probably THE best festival I attended. Been reliving it!
An almost perfect line up, only Meat Loaf muddying the waters. Why was he there?
I believe Alaska were first, but I was, er, a bit dulled in the senses department....
A little later Mountain came on, my head had cleared by then, great set highlighted by a great rendition of,
Then Meat Loaf, ah well more booze...
Mamas Boys, didn't really know them then but a good set.
Hmmmm, Blackfoot
UFO, yeah, Lights Out, lights out at Knebworth!!!!
Totally stonking set by the Scorpions
All topped off by the return of Deep Purple, Hoo-Rah

A 6.56 version of Nantucket?? That must be the shortest version I've ever heard. Fantastic music, love Leslie West.

So today I’ve had a bit of a Thom Yorke day Atoms for peace-before your very eyes Mmmmm I just love this Album and have tried really hard not to over listen to it. Here are some more band details en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atoms_for_Peace_(bandThis is one of my favourites from Pablo Honey Not forgetting the sublime Rodeohead Hi Shaun, big Radiohead fan from the beginning but somehow never managed to get around to listening to any of Thom's solo stuff . . . but I'm loving Atoms for Peace, thanks

Hi Bluesman Yup I’ve found his solo stuff a little patchy up to now with nothing getting close to his Radiohead stuff. But this is a corker IMHO and up with the best from the RH days. Glad you like Tears everywhere but Manchester again. Take care

Yesterday I was at a little place called Etton not far away from Driffield to see Edwina Hayes live at the Processed Pea Club (She lives in Driffield). A very small venue that holds about 50 people, she was playing there because they gave her her first audition and since then she has played all over the country and America. She is a folk singer and I do believe she was born in Ireland. There was about 6 other folk singers on before her and they all were very good. She was very informative about each song she sang and this first one (Pour me a drink) is about her alcoholic father who has been married 6 times and now lives in Argentina running a dodgy meat business (apparently he is no stranger to jail). I noticed she had a strange way of playing the guitar using only her thumb for bass and her forefinger for the rest, her other fingers rested on the finger guard, you will see what I mean in the first video. It was a very enjoyable evening and she is a very talented singer songwriter, the evening was made even more enjoyable with 3 pints of Theakstons best bitter.

Try Melvin Taylor,having displayed my ineptitude in posting clips,(two clips no dialogue although I wrote one, yes duffer.)I am reluctant to try again. Have a listen if SRV is your thing.

Hi mingus, here's one for you then..................Melvin Taylor.........All Your Love I sampled quite a few before settling on this one, most of the posted stuff of his is poor quality but this one is off of an album and reasonable.

Aaaah, Melvin Taylor, I remember having him written off as a mainly covers man. Oh well, misconceptions.... Anyway, I have Dirty Pool on cassette somewhere, seem to recall liking it. Decent selection to listen to on GroovesharkWhich leads me to another great but dead (ala SRV) guy, Jeff Healey, dug out some of his last night for listening today:- EDIT, had to add this one after finding it, proper showcase of his prowess;
