YEAH! My man. Saw him thrice in Munich. Last time I had a nice chat with him while the opening act was doing it's thing. Is the 'Deuce' Album somewhere available on CD? Could only source a Best Of.

hey Rickcr42, considering what you said about toe tapping and such check these guys out, they even encourage fans to record their live shows and actually have FREE to download some of their live shows. can't hurt to try people. they have a funky soulful groove that gets me moving. your mileage may vary www.brotherhoodofgroove.comclk music ... I don't recall of the top of my head but I seem to think "THE ELDO" was a good sounding one. Just d/l the first song of each show if you want to test the quality waters. Anywho, I hope you all enjoy it and don't say I never gave back anything

Sol, how are you finding the Senns now that they've got a few hours on clock?

So ... let me start by saying that they are chalk and cheese to the Grados on immediate impressions ... but dig deep and there a whole load of similarities I had intended to sell one set, though I swop between the two and see merits in both sets - I notice the following: Senns are much heavier - and I actually don't find them that comfortable. But the Grado pads hurt my ears after a while. The Senns win only because I can wear them longer ... though I'm more conscious of them for more of the time. I love the long cable on the Senns .. you can stand up and boogey with your 4 year old while she wonders why her Father is a nutter Both have loads of detail - enough for anyone. Both provide a sweetness to the highs .. though the Senns do not extend as much - yes the Grados do sound sweet to my ear ... never really understand why peeps complain they are bright ... perhaps they don't work with there equipment. The bass is less controlled on the Senns but it extends further. Both image really well. With my set up though there's little in the way of 3D depth with either can .. though height and width are there a plenty. Both slam with dynamics so well .. the punch in both with the modded X-CAN V3 is fabulous ... though the Senns have the advantage. The rolled off top end means any harshness to fast hits do not come with that wince when high volume equates to harshness - that's not to say the Grados are bright .. ooo no .. I find them beautifully natural ... but in the hit and impact stakes, they do suffer wince factor on occasions! Talking about mids and natural tones ... I have to say that the HD650 has been a let down. The presentation is coloured to my ears ... not enough to dislike them, and indeed it really suits electronic stuff and hard hitting rock .. with acoustic and blues the Grados win through. Like wise with classical, I find the Grados work best. I guess therefore I'll be keeping them both.

Sol, great idea to keep them both - I´ve been a great fan of the HD600 for years and only got the HD650 because I thougt it would be even better. At first a dissapointment but I found that it is not worse just different and today I love them both - the 650 when I enjoy rock , jazz and other heavy stuff - the 600 when the mood is for a string quartet and small ensemble music - I think the 600 is more true to the recording while the 650 are more bang for the buck. It´s like "a set of cans for each occasion" thing. Happy listening Lasse
