Wow! awesome stuff Leo, nice and tidy too Taa! its the damn wiring I hate especially things like those 4-pole T-net caps in the UCD amps. I'm trying to find a piccy of a valve amp I once knocked up to give you a laugh but can't find it now that one did look like a birds nest filled with lightbulbs

Excellent work chaps!! Wish those Hammond cases was avalable in bigger sizes over here. Are those locking BNC's being used as a DC socket Mike? that’s a very good idea

Yes. I find them a lot more firm than the sometimes flimsy 2.1mm / 2.5mm DC sockets and once they're locked they stay locked in position.

The 2 above photos are of a 26 year old ETI477100W/Ch. Mosfet Amplifier. It was recently resurrected from a friend's garage and tested recently by SuzyJ from DiyAudio Forum. It still worked. However the distortion in the R channel was quite high due to a dried out electrolytic capacitor in the feedback circuit. The good L channel measured distortion was .0062 % at 50W into 8 ohms. The bottom photo shows a couple of series zener diodes to correct for a design flaw in the thermal matching of one of the differential pairs. If anybody is interested, the full thread is at : www.diyaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=103649&perpage=25&pagenumber=2

vixr Looks fabulous. I hope you have an ultrasonic pest controller ! It would be a lovely warm and accessible place for little intruders. Perhaps you should have some fine mesh on the sides? But it really does look great.

Hey, Sorry for not coming here much lately. I thought I should juice up with new photo. Here is the close up pic of the attenuator. Look at the dimensions. T P.S. It's a linear one wired to give me pseudo-log. But I had to do the calculations from scratch. Doing pseudo-log is actually hard.

Hey, It's from a local manufacture called Takachi. (serial: CH7-33-17) About 5000 Yen. Cool thing is the face plate is solid aluminum. I had to use my super power to bole/cut holes. But it was a lot of fun. (I get supreme joy out of this sort thing. Yep, feel the power of power tools! Rrrrrah! Rrrrah!) www.takachi-el.co.jp/data/i_english/english.htmlBut I doubt they are ready to trade overseas. You could email them anyway because they sell to Russians. ( www.takachi.ru/catalog.shtml ) Yep, Japan is about the most "anti-global" globally-connected and globally-highly-dependent country in the world. Forgive my people will you? T
