Hi All,
Has anyone got any spare bits of AcoustiPack left over? I've been given a pair of RP 50s for Christmas and wanted to mod them but didn't want to buy a whole sheet of the stuff
Regards And happy new year

Hi All, Has anyone got any spare bits of AcoustiPack left over? I've been given a pair of RP 50s for Christmas and wanted to mod them but didn't want to buy a whole sheet of the stuff Regards And happy new year Martin Hi Martin, Happy New Year to you too I don't have any of the Acoustipack stuff (never did have) so can't help you on that one..... maybe somebody else has a small bit going spare. I absolutely LOVE my modded T50RP (Mkl)...... didn't like them at first but after a GOOD few hundred hours they really came on song. They are now my "go to" headphones..... absolutely indispensable. I used plasticine in mine and a little bit of local sheep's wool which I washed in Nikwax tech wash and then treated with Nikwax TX-Direct. I can treat some sheep's wool for you, I'll ask the farmer to cut a bit off one of his prize sheep, I still have the Nikwax stuff. rockgrotto.proboards.com/thread/8832/fostex-t50rp?page=11It's not a joke Martin..... the plasticine and sheep's wool really made a HUGE improvement to the T50RP sonics. If you're going down the "acoustipack" route then may I suggest you save a lot of money and go with Evo Stik Flashband tape: www.wilko.com/roofing/evo-stick-flashband-tape-375mx100mm/invt/0292739&gclid=CMXEzcC00cACFcsBwwodZI8ACw?utm_medium=affiliate&utm_campaign=Sub+Networks&utm_source=VigLink+Inc&utm_content=0&utm_term=85386&awc=2400_1514923559_4ef3a157475945837aa5120e179fd957AWESOME stuff, no other word for it! I have a load of it so if you want enough to do a pair of T50RP let me know and I'll send you a bit. I would, from personal experience, go with the plasticine though..... it works and it's well worth the couple of quid entry fee. I haven't tried flashband in the T50RP (and won't be as I am over the moon with the plasticine / sheep's wool tweaks) but it "should" give similar results given its density. It just dawned on me Martin (whilst typing) you may have the latest version of the T50RP? The MKlll? I know f**k all about it so plasticine and award winning sheep's wool may not apply to the MKlll....... if it's a MKlll it will possibly require more exotic tweaks such as acoustically treated wool from a Peruvian feathered tailed Mountain Goat All the best for 2018 mate.

Hi Mike ,
Well the Peruvian goat fur is out as I'm told Micheal Bentine ate the last one, but some sheeps wool would be a great help. So yes please send me enough for two cups, I have the plasticine.
I use that EvoStick flash banding on my shed roof to seal the felt joints and to patch a few leaks on the house roof too, so have some left. Useful, stuf. Think I'll just try the wool and plasticine first tho.
Did you cover the vents on your phones or just use wool and plasticine?
If you want my address let me know Looking forward to trying theses when they are modded
All the best Martin
