Couldn't help thinking of you, Mike, watching the Tesco Christmas advert on TV. Best part of two months of this now. My local Spar was putting up it's Christmas decorations up yesterday too. Bring on the festivities.

Couldn't help thinking of you, Mike, watching the Tesco Christmas advert on TV. Best part of two months of this now. My local Spar was putting up it's Christmas decorations up yesterday too. Bring on the festivities. Oh don't!!!! I also noticed that they have started and even MORE annoying than usual too. "Morrisons makes Christmas" does it f*ck! Morrisons makes money out of gullible idiots! Two months of this shit to suffer (and it IS suffering) it's absolutely disgusting how these money making firms saturate the screens with these god awful Christmas adverts. They can stuff their mince pies right up their arses, the lot of them...... They won't be getting a penny out of me the piss taking capitalist bastards, not a penny! Christmas day is the 25th of December, not November through to January.... these type of adverts should be made illegal. I know what a supermarket is, I know how to enter one (through the door) and I am perfectly able to see what's on offer by walking around looking at things. I don't need 2 months of them ramming their jingly crap adverts into my living room via the TV.... it's worse than these bastards that cold call you on the telephone...... I'd rather they came to the front door so I could punch their bloody lights out! TV is bad enough as it is Nigel, damned repeats all the time, but November / December just have to be the worst two months there is on the TV calendar.... repetitive supermarket adverts and the same old On the buses, the likely lads, Steptoe and son CRAP over the Christmas period..... Christ, did they stop making programmes in the 1970's?? It's the same shite every year!!! That's one GOOD thing about the BBC..... no adverts, so looks like I am going BBC only for November / December.... seriously, those adverts are enough to make anyone want to throw their TV out the window.

I practically stopped watching tv all year long. Ads are torture on tv and radio aswell. When I drive to work I have my old minidisc player connected and whenever there are ads I give my md a go. I love md by the way, works damn good. I bought the system many years ago when I was studying and had to travel by bus and train. These machines still work perfecly.
On tv I watch Formula 1 and on Ziggo (dutch provider that has a sport channel) doesn’t show ads during the race, thankfully. Then again I record the race and zapp throught the ads.
