As we have recently learnt of the demise of the GD-Audio "Sun, Moon & Earth" discrete op amps, I was lead to believe that Burson were the only ones left in this field.....wrong! There is a S. Korean company called AudioFeel producing a range of single and a dual discrete opamps as well. I couldn't find any reviews but they are reasonably cheap at their €bay shop

Yes, I saw some of those as well. The problems encountered with them is either that they are power hungry, requireing substantially more juice than the chip they replace or some are unable to output enough oomph for a line drive circuit, limiting their use.

Yes, I saw some of those as well. The problems encountered with them is either that they are power hungry, requireing substantially more juice than the chip they replace or some are unable to output enough oomph for a line drive circuit, limiting their use. Why bother with Asian discrete opamps that are way behind the best of the current I.C.s, when if you want colouration just use valves instead ! (evil grin)
