Interior/altar of an Episcopal church. I suppose I should be happy with the overall look and maybe even the resolution (12 mp sensor), but I hope someday I can get a camera this size with a higher quality sensor with 24 or more megapixels, for greater detail. Leica D-Lux, f1.7, 1/60 handheld (burst), ISO 200. Leica D-Lux, f1.7, 1/60 handheld (burst), ISO 200.

It's really tough to get natural colour balance on the shot like that but I think you nailed it! Even the stained glass colours cast on the right hand wall look natural.

Thanks - all I did was balance the brightness of the windows a little better, but the camera really set the colors itself. I've had only a few brands of compact cameras - Nikon, Canon, Panasonic, Leica - but my impression is that they all have made good progress in color renditions in recent years.

Derek I think Leica are overpriced, i wanted a m6/m7 years a go but bought a contax g2 with 4 zeiss lens (no longer have) The leica lens are better at it,s widest aperture (just about) and are more solid than the zeiss G lens, but not for the price difference But they do make good lens though, just my pennys worth

I bought the new 'T' with 18/56 zoom lens, tried to sell that $4000 thing and couldn't get $1500 - like new, all original packing etc., so I gave it away.

I dont like zoom lens, i prefer primes to be honest The price of leica gear you could buy a second hand top of the range medium format kit for that I just stick with my 3 nikon manual focus bodies and primes (fm2 fe2 fm3a) I also have a modded holga from holgamods in NY
