Boy, is that material for a war!
So like my (still not scientifically answered) question about jitter - what causes the differences that we hear? Could it possibly be strictly changes in frequency response, the shape of the noise floor and RF components that get into the analog stage?
Bob Carver used a sort of nulling technique in the 80's and 90's to make his T series of amplifiers sound like the audiophile valve gear. His term was transfer function. His Audio Research clone sound was achieved primarily with a BIG low value resistor in the output.

that's ok this is from the time machine,... Robert Laugh all you like. I know that GS believes the same too. So you don't believe,as an example, that you can have a recording sourced from tape, and a S/N of around only 60dB , that PSU noise, and artifacts from the amplifier a little below that level could possibly affect the sound ? Alex

Now there's an interesting video folks ;D I won't comment, because it kept freezing when I attempted to play it. In any case, if Robert likes it, I probably didn't miss much ?

I sometimes (usually?) go on the defensive /offensive when I am not 100% sure what the words actually mean. Especially as you were able to watch the Myths video that I couldn't get to play. Alex

It must just be me but that video bored the pants off me after only 2 minutes.... I wish these people would learn the art of "listening to, and enjoying music" instead of waffling a load of shite

Thank god, I thought it was only me! I glazed over pretty fast too. Way too soon to ever know if there was anything worthwhile ever said

I listened to the WHOLE THING. Plenty of down to earth info from people in the business. Sure, no representatives from the high end playback fraction, but that would not have made the video more interesting as the sonic differences do not really show up on YouTube.
